TREEWALKS is a community of environmentally conscious and concerned people, originating and based in Ahmedabad, with members from across India (now in the 10th year). It does serious work through initiatives like home composting, natural toxin free gardening, biodiversity creation, aquatic biodiversity, food gardening, rain water harvesting, toxin free living etc for urban people’s participation. TREEWALKS COMMUNITY now has more than (estimated figure) 2000 participants spread over 60 cities in India and 5 countries other than India. TREEWALKS is now also helping create green communities in other cities as well – Bhavnagar city has recently started a TREEWALKS group as well.
